Pallets of blues, grays, and warm neutrals. Winter is the season of looking inward. The days are so short. We are told we need to sit still for a moment and reflect. Winter takes the most motivation to go out exploring with the camera. Too many layers to wear, too heavy boots, too thick gloves and the camera needs to be somewhere in between all the layers so that my body heat can keep the battery happy... but once I am out and moving the cold air makes me feel so alive. It is refreshing and energizing. I can go deeper into the woods. The light is brighter. The most fascinating things happen wherever there is water meeting freezing temps. The canvas is closer to blank. Simplified. Truly a different world.
I am a photographer based in the Mid-Atlantice region. I am also a student in a Pre-Allied Health program. This is a little site to share some of my photographs, thoughts, reflections of everyday beauty, and more. It documents the noticeable, yet fleeting, moments and thoughts.
